Dr. Frances received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, BC in 2011. Dr. Frances Wang is a native of Taiwan. She grew up in a family that believed in food as medicine and living a balanced life. At a young age, Dr. Frances would help her Traditional Chinese Medical doctor grandfather prepare medicine for patients. She developed a curiosity for the ancient healing philosophy that led to her path of pursuing natural medicine.
Upon completing her undergraduate degree in Biology at Tunghai University, Taiwan, her passion eventually led her to Canada to study Naturopathic Medicine; a medicine that blends evidence-based science with natural forms of medicine to deliver health care. Dr Frances believes that we all deserve to live our lives to the fullest – and that we have the potential to achieve it. It is her passion and dedication to work with people in their healing journey by uncovering the root cause of chronic diseases and pain with personalized natural treatments. Dr. Frances practices Prolotherapy (regenerative injection) for people to become pain free, as well as intravenous injections and evidence-based herbal medicine and nutrition to help patients achieve their health goals. In her practice, Dr Frances focuses on pain relief (for headaches, migraines, knee pains), digestive conditions, fatigue, sleep disturbances, and women’s health using diagnostic exams and laboratory tests.
Dr. Frances is licensed through College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA)and College of Naturopathic Physician in British Columbia (CNPBC), and is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and Alberta Association of Naturopathic Doctors (AAND). In addition to her naturopathic training, Dr. Frances is also a Manual Osteopathic Therapist. She believes that an integrative approach using multiple modalities is what helps her patients achieve optimal results.
