Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary health care system that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. The naturopathic philosophy is to stimulate the healing power of the body and treat the underlying cause of disease. Symptoms of disease are seen as warning signals of improper functioning of the body, and unfavourable lifestyle habits. Naturopathic Medicine emphasizes disease as a process rather than as an entity. In addition to diet and lifestyle changes, natural therapies including botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, naturopathic manipulation and traditional Chinese medicine/acupuncture, may also be used during treatments.

Naturopath & Osteopath FAQ

Naturopath & Osteopath FAQ

What conditions can naturopathic and osteopathic care help with?
Naturopathic and osteopathic care can support a range of physical and systemic conditions. These include:
  • Digestive issues (bloating, IBS, food sensitivities)
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Fatigue and low energy
  • Chronic stress and anxiety
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Joint and muscle pain
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Postural imbalances and mobility concerns
What should I expect during my first visit?
Your initial consultation will last between 45 minutes to 1 hour. It includes a full health assessment, medical history review, and development of a customized treatment plan.
How long are follow-up visits?
Subsequent naturopathic or osteopathic appointments can be booked for 15, 30, 45 minutes, or 1 hour — depending on your treatment needs.
Can I book a phone consultation?
Yes! Phone call appointments are available and can be billed to insurance just like in-person treatments.
Can I book IV therapy?
IV therapy treatments are available but must be booked during specific time slots. Because IVs require you to remain in the IV room for the full duration of the drip, please be prepared for a longer appointment than what may appear in the booking time.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is best — especially if your appointment includes hands-on therapy. You may be asked to move or lie down depending on the treatment type.
Does insurance cover naturopathic or osteopathic treatments?
Most extended health plans cover treatment sessions. Unfortunately we cannot bill supplements, diagnostic lab tests, or specialty assessments. You may need to pay for it in full and submit to your insurance provider.
How much do naturopathic or osteopathic sessions cost?
Kindly call us at (403) 547-9011 for pricing inquiries.
