Dr. Ikram is a Calgary chiropractor practicing chiropractic in northwest Calgary. He graduated from the University of Western States in Portland Oregon with Clinic Honours designations.
Dr.Ikram has a strong background in sport, nutrition, fitness and bodybuilding. He played competitive hockey, basketball and volleyball before attending the University of Alberta for his undergraduate studies. Dr. Ikram’s past experience has included work with some of the top CFL players and Olympic athletes in Canada. As such, he has an excellent background in sport-specific training, rehabilitation and injury prevention. Dr. Ikram is fully certified in Active Release Techniques, Graston Technique, Acupuncture/Dry Needling and Kinesiotaping. Dr. Ikram also has a wide range of experience with a variety of patients. He has treated pediatric patients from the age of 3 weeks old all the up to senior patients at the age of 90.
Dr. Ikram uses a 3 prong approach for optimum health and function; joint manipulation, soft tissue work and rehabilitation exercise. He believes that success in sport/lifestyle is dependent on many factors, and therefore the body must be analyzed from a biomechanical, anatomical, and functional point of view, and treated accordingly.
